What is the difference between Compact and Consolare finish? Do they have different technical features?

The Compact surface is distinguished by its homogeneity and the regularity of its edges, achieved through the pressing process. In contrast, the Consolare surface undergoes the artisanal process known as tumbling, which gives it an antiqued character and rounded edges. Each individual piece is unique and different from the others. Both surfaces can be used indoors and outdoors, as their differences are purely aesthetic while maintaining their technical features unchanged.

What is the difference between in_PIETRA and out_PIETRA surface?

The in_PIETRA surface undergoes two cycles of treatments in the factory, making it suitable for indoor use, like kitchens and showers. Conversely, the out_PIETRA surface does not undergo treatments and is therefore ideal for installation in outdoor spaces.

How to apply the grout on the in_PIETRA surface?

The in_PIETRA surface requires grouting exclusively with fine-grain cementitious grout, without additives. The grout should be applied covering a maximum area of 0.25 square meters at a time and cleaned immediately. Note: the grout should not be applied over the entire surface and cleaned once dried with a single final cleaning.

How to apply the grout on the out_PIETRA surface?

The out_PIETRA surface requires grouting exclusively with coarse-grain cementitious grout, without additives. The grout should be applied to the slightly wet surface, covering a maximum area of 0.25 square meters at a time and rinsed immediately. Note: the grout should not be applied over the entire surface and cleaned once dried with a single final cleaning.

How to clean the in_PIETRA surface?

The in_PIETRA surface can only be cleaned with neutral detergents, using tools for daily cleaning. Our specific neutral detergent, PIETRACLEANER, is available for effective cleaning and maintenance of the surface.

How to clean the out_PIETRA surface?

The out_PIETRA surface has exceptional "self-cleaning" capabilities with rainfall, while for deeper cleaning, it is advisable to use a pressure washer. To remove specific stains, we recommend using our degreasing detergent, PIETRASTAIN.

What surface should be chosen for exterior wall covering?

For exterior wall covering, it is recommended to choose the out_PIETRA surface, untreated, with a thickness of 15 mm.

Is the in_PIETRA surface supplied already treated?

Yes, the in_PIETRA surface arrives on-site already treated, ensuring greater convenience during installation. The treatment is to be considered completed after the application of finishing wax, CERAMATT, included in the order.

Is the finishing wax for the in_PIETRA surface included in the order?

Yes, the CERAMATT treatment, to be applied at the end of the installation of the in_PIETRA surface, is included in the price and is provided based on the square meters of the order placed.

Is the 15 mm thickness suitable for driveway areas?

No, it is necessary to choose the 22 mm thickness.

Is the material suitable for use with underfloor heating?

Yes, the material is compatible with underfloor heating systems.

Can the material be installed in a shower?
