‘ZDORA’
New ways to set up La Pietra Compattata
La Pietra Compattata returns to Edit Napoli with “Zdora”,
a project in collaboration with Very Simple Kitchen and curated by Serena Confalonieri.
“Zdora” draws from Emilia Romagna, the geographical origin of Very Simple Kitchen and La Pietra Compattata. The name is a dialect term used to refer to sfogline, the typical Italian woman who rolls the dough to create the basis of fresh pasta, handing down the recipe from generation to generation.
From this intuition, the designer updates and reinterprets the timeless checked tablecloth while recalling the concept of conviviality so dear to Emilian cuisine, thus creating one checked pattern in multiple color palettes.
La Pietra Compattata has always been laid for outdoor and indoor floors and walls.
Now it can also be set up as a surface for the Very Simple Kitchen kitchen tops, as well as tables and chairs.
The decoration covers all surfaces of tables, falling like a real tablecloth alongside the surface of the kitchen tops, which continues upwards to cover the entire wall, creating an immersive and enveloping atmosphere.
Visitors will find themselves immersed in the ambiance of a special Italian lunch, recalled by the checkered pattern proposed in three color variations.
